Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how ByteBeat handles information when you use the app, create an account, and sync presets.
1. Data Collection
ByteBeat collects only the information needed to provide optional accounts and cloud preset sync. This may include your email address, account identifier, authentication provider, profile information you choose to add, and technical records required to keep the service secure and reliable.
2. Audio and User Content
Audio and video are generated on your device and are not uploaded by ByteBeat unless a future feature clearly asks for your permission. Presets you save while signed in, including formulas and related settings, may be stored in your account so they can be restored on another installation. Presets are private by default unless you explicitly choose to share or publish them.
3. Accounts
You can use core ByteBeat features without an account. An account is required for cloud preset sync and for exports longer than 15 seconds. You may sign in using Google, Apple, or a passwordless email link. Authentication providers process sign-in information under their own privacy policies.
4. Third-Party Services
ByteBeat uses Supabase to provide authentication, account storage, and cloud preset sync. Google and Apple are available as optional sign-in providers. These providers may process IP addresses, device or browser information, and authentication events to operate and secure their services. ByteBeat does not sell personal data.
5. Retention and Security
Account information and synced presets are retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, prevent abuse, and resolve disputes. We use access controls and encrypted network connections designed to protect this information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Choices and Account Deletion
You can use the app without signing in, sign out at any time, and choose which presets to sync or share. To request access to or deletion of your account and associated cloud data, contact us at the email address below. We may need to verify that you own the account before completing a request.
7. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated in the future. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
